This presentation first of all explains why OSB is the key infrastructure component in a modern Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

We look at the tasks of a service bus within a SOA, what makes a service bus unique, and at the same time clearly delineate this infrastructure component to seemingly similar buzzwords such as EAI, BPM, EDA and micro services.

In the second half of the presentation the brand new features of Service Bus 12c such JSON support, REST pipelines, pipeline templates, domain-value maps, are explained and reviewed.
